According to the preliminary report on trading conditions at Chubu Airport in January released by Nagoya Customs on the 22nd, the export value decreased by 4% compared to the same month last year, amounting to 830 billion yen, marking a 13th consecutive month of decline. In contrast, the import value increased by 20% to 994 billion yen, marking an eighth consecutive month of growth. As a result, there was a deficit of 164 billion yen after deducting the export value from the import value. The trade deficit continues to be a concern with ongoing fluctuations in export and import figures.
