On the 27th, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced the results of the 11th meeting of the IMO (International Maritime Organization) Pollution Prevention and Response Sub-Committee. The results included a review of the NOx emission testing methods for marine engines, standardization of regulations on discharges from exhaust gas cleaning systems on ships, and enhanced regulations on sewage treatment facilities for waste such as sewage and effluents.
