On March 25th, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (K Line) announced that they have entered into a joint research and development agreement with Nippon Kaiyo Electronics Co., Ltd. and Optogate Co., Ltd. to collaborate on a new type of fire detection system for ships that incorporates optical technology.
