On February 14th, Synopsys announced the results of the demonstration experiment for the initiative “Platform Construction Project for Efficiency Improvement and Value Creation in Retail Distribution and Logistics in Reiwa 5th Fiscal Year.” The experiment focused on inventory management and ordering operations digitization for retail industry to extend lead times for promotional products and enhance logistics resilience. It was estimated that by leveling store delivery volumes, a potential reduction of 39% in the number of trucks needed could be achieved.
